Sugar Ridge Resort Grand Opening Gala - 17 March, 2010
Everyone was looking their best as the Gala unfolded with all the pomp and ceremony one would expect from such a grand occasion. Sugar Ridge was officially opened on Wednesday March 17 to an audience of the Governor General, Antigua's Prime Minisiter, other honorable government ministers, business associates, friends and family. Aidan McCauley, owner and developer of the Sugar Ridge venture was proud to declare in his speech that Phase One has successfully been completed. The first phase came at a cost of fifty million US dollars, employed 70 people to construct, includes the resort, restaurants, club, spa, retail spaces, fitness workout centre and pool. Aidan was also pleased to announce the next phase of the project which includes the development of residential villas to commence.
The gala was punctuated by encouraging words from Hon. Minister Harold Lovell and Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer, himself. Live jazz entertained the exclusive guestlist, tours of the Aveda Spa, restaurants, workout centre and hotel rooms were offered to the curious. Scrumptuous food was served and champagne corks were popped in celebration.
A hearty congratulations to Aidan and his team at Sugar Ridge for all they have achieved, and all the best for future endeavours. Sincerely from us here at 365antigua.com.
