National health event promotes good habits
With the mandate of "promoting a healthier you", the Potters Youth Group is encouraging everyone to come out, get healthy and have fun at the same time. On Saturday, July 3rd, at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Grounds (SVCRG), the community group is holding a fun walk/run and fair, plus FREE health screenings.
The Wildwood Lifestyle Centre and Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, will be featured at the event. The centre's focus is promoting scientific alternative treatments and lifestyle changes to increase personal health. One lucky winner will fly to the centre for a little rest and relaxation! There's other great prizes and lots of stuff to do with the kids, with a bouncy castle and jump rope competition.
To register, get your forms at Woods Pharmacy, the Adventist Book Centre, Regal Travel, O'Beez Supermarket or Paradise Fitness. Entry fee is $20 adults, and children under 12, $10. Proceeds are in aid of a youth missionary/educational trip to South Africa in 2011.
