New Jersey Masters; Veterans Sports Club of St Croix; Barbados Masters; Mississauga Ramblers of Canada and Antigua Masters have all signed up to challenge the current Champions, New York Masters for this year’s prize money of $3,000US.
The organisers are delighted to announce their new and exciting partnership with the Ministry of Tourism together with thanks to new and returning sponsors/supporters – Intertops; Goddard Catering; Wadadli Cats; Special Security; Lashings World XI; NSA Medical; Sugar Ridge; Cool & Smooth; Ministry of Sport; ABCA; Townhouse Mega Store; ABTA; Infonet Studios; Quin Farara and Jughead Stage & Theatre Lighting. Media partners antiguanice.com; The Observer Group; Caribbean SuperStation; ABSTV and VybzFM.
Thanks to the assistance from the Hon John Maginley and The Ministry of Tourism, the organisers are able to develop and expand this year’s event to provide an even bigger and better 2nd Fest than originally planned. The aim of the Fest is to increase Sports Tourism on the island and to encourage Masters Cricket Teams from around the world to sample the warmth and hospitality of our beautiful twin islands, bringing with them their families and friends.
In addition to the Masters Competition, there will exhibition matches featuring Lashings World XI, plus on Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th November, Lashings World XI together with some of our top Antiguan Coaches will be holding afternoon coaching sessions at the stadium for our up and coming young cricketers. They will have the chance to learn from the Masters, first hand.
Not only will there be cricket but watch this space for some exciting news about Saturday night when the stadium becomes THE place to be in Antigua – and not just for the cricket.
As last year, to encourage as many people to come and support the teams, entry to the games are FREE every day except for Saturday and along with cricket there will be the world famous Chickie HiFi; lots of Antiguan Rum and delicious food plus of course some great company.
