Sugar Ridge officially opens
Everyone was looking their best as the gala unfolded with all the pomp and ceremony one would expect from such a grand occasion. Sugar Ridge was officially opened on Wednesday, March 17, to an audience including the Governor-General Dame Louise Lake-Tack, Antigua's Prime Minister, other honourable government ministers, business associates, friends, and family. The owner and developer of the Sugar Ridge venture was proud to declare in his speech that Phase One was successfully completed at a cost of US$50M. 70 people were employed during the construction phase, which saw the building of the resort, restaurants, nightclub, Aveda Spa, retail spaces, fitness workout centre, and pools. Also at the event was the announcement of the next phase of the project which includes the development of residential villas.
The gala was punctuated by encouraging words from Harold Lovell, and PM Baldwin Spencer. Live jazz entertained the exclusive guestlist, who were given tours of the spa, restaurants, workout centre and hotel rooms. Delicious food was served and champagne corks popped in celebration.
A hearty and sincere congratulations to the Sugar Ridge team for all they have achieved, and all the best for future endeavours, from 365antigua.com. Enjoy a gallery of the events by clicking here:
