'The Alternative' at MYST Capital (formerly Wapping Beach) was where Antigua's Carnival lovers and partiers congregated and for good reason. The line-up was impressive with Claudette Peters & Taxik Band, The Tian Winter Show, DJs Nez, Tanny, Selecta J, and the headliner was none other than soca diva Tizzy backed by the ela kru. 'The Alternative' was presented by MYST Carnival and put together by Peer Pressure Promotions (the crew who presents the annual the pre-Carnival fete Blue Jeans).

We arrived late, coming from the Jaycees Carnival Queen Competition. By then, 'The Alternative' was in serious party mode. We were greeted by the MYST team and Tizzy who was already onstage with her crew, tearing it up.
