The 44th annual Antigua & Barbuda Sport Fishing Assoc's launch party was a highly anticipated event for the fishing crowd and it did not disappoint. Organizers were delighted to sell out all tickets before the evening which was a double bonus since Crime Stoppers Antigua stood to benefit from a portion of the ticket sales on the night.

The launch party took place at Life Bar in the heart of English Harbour and the staff hustled the entire night to keep the thirsty fishermen as they beat the heat with discounted beverages. Numerous prizes from generous sponsors raised further funds for the association. The floor was literally bouncing thanks to the full house of 350, as they jumped to the live musical performance of soca diva Claudette Peters and Taxik Band.

It was an excellent welcome to the tournament for everyone. Hats off to the organizers as we look forward to their upcoming one-day fishing event the Nunes Sport Fishing tournament, in September.
