It is disco? Is it house? Is it tech house? Is it too deep to describe? Is it all of the above? Not to worry. Ministry of Sound's upcoming imported music master, DJ Sin Plomo will answer all these questions.
Perhaps you have not yet heard the musical stylings of this eclectic and seasoned DJ... A talent who has prominently presented himself throughout Europe, and most importantly, maintained his residency at Space Club in the nightclubbing mecca known as Ibiza… A talent who has been working in the club circuit for well over a decade confirming his distinction by producing albums, generating brilliant mixes and keeping the scene fresh with his contributions.
A little history. Sin Plomo was blessed to have been born into a musical family and on his 17th birthday Sin was given an enormous treasure of vinyl from his father (a professional musician). Everything from Zeppelin to Elvis to The Who, Sin quickly put his fantastic gift to good work and within a few short years he was found in the clubs spinning to eager and growing audiences.
Reading the audience is one of DJ Sin Plomo's greatest abilities. And combining it with his vast experience and knowledge, he boldly crosses genres; challenging his critics who attempt to place him into any particular category. What makes him so difficult to be categorized is also why he is much sought in the clubs. His versatility keeps his sets fresh and his fans coming back for more.
DJ Sin Plomo has previously worked with international producer Torsten Stenzel of Offshore Music. So when Torsten invited Sin to arrive at a beautiful tropical destination to perform, Sin couldn't resist.
On Saturday April 16, 2011, kicking off Antigua Sailing Week's celebrations, Offshore Music presents The Ministry of Sound, featuring DJ Sin Plomo. Opening for him will be DJ York. And taking care of business in the back section at Abracadabra's is Antigua's own DJ Alan Russel of Black Vinyl Records.
The theme of the evening is your bedroom. And since it's nighttime and your bedroom, those who come only in their underwear get FREE entrance (guys need not apply).
As previously mentioned, this evening is right in the middle of Sailing Week, so getting your tickets in advance is highly recommended. Pre-sale of $30.ec tickets is at Abra's. Tickets will be $40.ec at the door. Remember: ticket holders walk past folks buying at the gate. This is the last Ministry of Sound project this season, so don't miss it.
