Desert Island Disco at Abra's
Desert Island Disco was born from the hedonistic days that swirled around the groovy club known as The Gallery. The Gallery is no more, but what rose from the Gallery's ashes are the excellent Friday night sets known as Desert Island Disco. Since then, Desert Island Disco has been making a stand at Abracadabra's packing the joint. Its an amazing way to take in a hot summer night.
Godfather of the decks, DJ Alan Russell owner of Black Vinyl Records, occasionally pulls out the Desert Island Disco theme, and hits it hard with a collection that varies as widely as the best classic reggae party music through to the ultimate, underground house anthems back to vintage disco and right into modern dancefloor classics. His mastery seamlessly weaves all these genres together for the best island club experience.
When asked how he likes to serve his Desert Island Disco, Alan is quick to respond "spontaneously"! And tonight is no exception as he packs his gear and heads to Abracadabra's in English Harbour. It starts around 11pm and prepare yourself for a fresh jolt of energy as he works the vibe to generate maximum electricity on the floor.
