DJ Alan Russell's Summer Sessions Part 3
If you missed the last Roots & Culture session at 3-Martini with DJ Alan Russell, you missed a steamy, very groovy, reggae night of dreads, Red Stripe and lounging in amongst the tree-tops. It was a very friendly and intimate night for those looking to relax, sip their favourite beverage and let Alan Russell's music mix wash over them.
I arrived late, wondering if anyone would still be holding out and i wasn't disappointed. Old friends greeted me warmly and new friends were made. The owner and staff of 3-Martini provided terrific service a couple notches above what I expect here in Antigua.
The evening really was one of those fantasy escapes one envisions: a tropical setting, hidden away in the coconut palms, warm smiles, inviting conversation, amazing music and always an iced cold beer in a sweaty bottle to fit into your hand.
Alan hits the decks at 10pm and plays 'til 3 am. There is no cover.
3-Martini is a cozy spot up on the hill, at Crabbe Hill, St. Mary's south, very close to Johnson's Point. Travel down the coast past Jolly Harbour for about five minutes. If you hit the village of Urlings, you went too far south.
