Moments in Nature - Soldier's Point, Half Moon Bay - 31 Jan 2010
The hike to Soldier's Point can be a bit demanding but is very rewarding. It doesn't look like much from the mouth of the beach at Half Moon Bay. Once you begin the rocky point, the hike begins to challenge with a rugged coastline and some vertical climbs. Follow the blue paint which clearly marks the trail. Make sure you have good shoes. The rocks are very sharp. Sandals won't do on this hike.
Our hike started out grey, windy and wet. But then the clouds parted, a rainbow appeared and colour unfolded before our very eyes. The view was spectacular. Enjoy the hike and be sure to join in on the next hike on Sunday February 28th. Click for more information.
