Get ready for Camp GROW
Camp GROW (Gaining a Respect for the Outdoors and our World) seeks to bring youth together for two weeks to cultivate an appreciation for and understanding of the natural environment and its links to healthy and sustainable communities. Through a variety of fun outdoor and experiential learning activities, the camp will highlight Antigua and Barbuda's unique ecology while fostering responsible environmental stewardship. The camp also aims to increase youth's knowledge of local agricultural practices and how agriculture impacts our lives.
Registration
If you are interested in registering your camper for this year's Camp GROW, please download the forms below and submit them to either EAG or GARD Center's Offices. If you would like to submit the forms electronically, you can do so by emailing them to rhall@gardc.org.
Due to the immense popularity of Camp GROW, registration for this year's camp will be a lottery. In order to be eligible for the lottery and attendance to Camp GROW, you must have all your forms submitted by June 18th. We will contact you by June 22nd and inform you of your camper's registration status.
The cost of camp is $220 (EC) which covers transportation, field trips, snacks and two camp T-shirts. Lunch is not provided, campers are asked to bring their own lunch with them. Camp T-shirts are to be worn every day, additional T-shirts can be purchased for $27 (EC) each. We believe that every child should have a chance to attend camp therefore we are happy to provide financial assistance to families who cannot afford camp fees. If you are in need of financial assistance, please ask to speak with either Jen Davis at the Environmental Awareness Group or Rachel Hall at the GARD Center.
