Hiking in Buckleys with the EAG
On a misty, early Saturday morning, we embarked on a terrific hike, hosted by the Environmental Awareness Group of Antigua & Barbuda. The trek took us through jungle, along a river, past cocoa plants, through fever grass, up hillsides and through ravines. Throughout, the EAG official presented the flora and fauna we came upon. It was a terrific trip in the Antiguan interior through Buckleys and Swetes.
The EAG organizes and guided excursions on the third Saturday of each month. Each field trip is leisurely and packed with information about the ecology in Antigua. Be sure to get your EAG membership and support this important organization. The EAG's office is at the Museum of Antigua & Barbuda, on Long Street in downtown St. John's
