Ministry of Tourism spearheads tree planting at Ffryes
First the trees, then the benches at signs, all in a bid to beautify the Ffryes Beach area.
The Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with the Environment Division embarked on a tree planting exercise at the Ffryes Beach area. This activity took place on Tuesday, November 29, where 30 trees were planted.
These included seaside mahoe, mahogany and cashew trees. It is one of the activities that coincided with this year's Tourism Week activities in an effort to further enhance the area. This being the first phase, the next step to follow shortly is the installation of picnic benches and signage at strategic locations along the beach.
