IT workshops for IT teachers
On Tuesday 22nd March, Howard Campbell, Author of Information Technology for CSEC, will be visiting Antigua as part of a Macmillan Publisher’s sponsored tour of the Eastern Caribbean.
Mr. Campbell has been involved in curriculum development and test development and has examined Information Technology for over ten Years. He is currently pursuing graduate studies in E-Learning at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. While here Mr. Campbell will be conducting a workshop for IT teachers at The Best of Books Royal Palm Place on Friars Hill Rd.
The workshop will begin at 8:30 am and will end at 2:30 pm. Schools must pre-register for the workshop.
The Objectives of the workshop are as follows
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- identify resources that can be used to deliver technology-aided lessons;
- deliver technology-aided lessons that are fully aligned to the new syllabus;
- use interactive resources to provide students with activities that:
- extend and reinforce required knowledge and skills;
- facilitate self-evaluation; and
- improve chances for exam success.
On Monday 21st March, the day prior to the workshop, Mr. Campbell will be spending time in a few classrooms interacting with students and teachers and observing methods used in our local system.
