Too Thin or Too Thick Legs? Here's the Right Shoe for you!
Wearing the right shoe can really make a difference in the appearance of your legs. Here's how to either play up your strengths or play down your weaknesses and get the right look for your legs!
Thin legs/ankles
If you've got legs anything like mine i.e. extra thin legs and ankles, then you should wear less bulky looking shoes. Opt for thin rather than thick straps and keep them away from your ankle. Wearing horizontal straps around the ankle only draws more attention to them especially if the straps don't fit snugly. Try crisscross straps instead. Also try to stay away from extra bulky heels like extra thick platforms which will only compete with those skinny legs and make them appear even skinnier. So yes my fellow thin-legged women no booties for you!

Thick/muscular legs
Muscular legs always look great in a pair of pumps. Not only does it make the calf look shapely but it also elongates the leg muscles giving the illusion of thinner more shapely legs. Stay away from shoes that wrap around the legs as that will only draw unnecessary attention and may even make them appear thicker. Avoid thin delicate heels and go for something thicker that will add balance between your leg and feet.

Short legs
Short legs may be the most common concern for women. Elongate your legs by wearing platform heels and pumps daily as that would most definitely add some much needed height to your frame. Stay away from ankle strap shoes, as that only breaks up your already short legs. A trick for creating the longer-legged look is by wearing the same color from waist to toe. For example black skinny jeans with black pumps or black leggings with black booties.

Long Legs
Strappy shoes that tie up the leg or ankle e.g. gladiator sandals, are great for showing off long, shapely legs. Booties and shoes that wrap around the ankle also have quite the flattering effect on long legs. If you're worried about height or being too tall then try a mid-size ranged shoe no more than three inches and opt for a shoe with no platform. Overall the long legged vixen is the luckiest of us all since any shoe looks good on these legs.
