Jason John Ashe was born in New York City to parents of Antiguan heritage − Allison John Ashe formerly of Freemans Village, and Jacqueline Samuel formerly of Sea View Farm.  Jason will be entering his senior year this fall at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts.  As a senior, he will be completing a major in Chemistry, with an interest in pursuing a career in medicine.

Apart from his academic endeavors, Jason has been interested in art most of his life and began taking lessons in the summer of 2000.  Jason studied under the tutelage of Anne Marie Williams of Mattituck, New York; Iris Bodner of Selden, New York; and Michael Parisi of Port Jefferson Station, New York.  The majority of Jason’s work has been framed by famed artist, Reggie André of Frame that Art in Miller Place, New York. Jason’s choice of media includes oil, charcoal and soft pastels.  His art has been privately collected as well as adorning the walls of his parents’ home.
