Carnival Queen hopefuls jump
When the Jaycee's approached the Board of Directors for the Environmental Awareness Group in the hope to team, the EAG jumped at the opportunity. The Jaycees' goal for 2010's pageant has been to share important information on the topics of Climate Change and Global Warming. Several activities were planned for this season including a presentation on the subject and a leisurely hike to the gorgeous vista of Carpenter's Rock, just south of Galleon Beach.
It was an excellent if not sweaty hike for everyone in attendance. Occasionally there was some shimmying up and down some steep rock (and wishes for better footwear), but everyone arrived at the rock ready for a photography shoot and some video interviews. 365antigua.com, the MOMENT is CAPTURED photography, Event Studios, Photo Genesis were just some of the media partners who attended the photo opp.
Discussions also took place about the destruction of roaming animals (namely goats), indigenous plants, sea uchins, octopus, Antigua's coral reefs etc.
Enjoy the photos from the shoot and stay tuned for 365TV's video interviews with host Lia Nicholson the Executive Director of the EAG.
