Beautiful at Betty’s Hope

Devika Richards was nominated for Sportswoman of the Year for two consecutive years.

Devika Richards is a 17-year-old recent graduate of the Antigua Girls High School and a current student of the Antigua and Barbuda Hospitality Training Institute where she aspires to become Antigua's top executive chef at the completion of her associates’ degree in Culinary Arts. Not only is she academically inclined, leaving the AGHS with seven CXC subjects (all 1's and 2's), she also takes part in sports such as volleyball, serving as captain of the Antigua and Barbuda Junior Volleyball Team.

This multi-talented individual was also nominated for Sportswoman of the Year two years in a row, yet manages to squeeze in a part-time professional modelling career. Devika is certainly a determined young lady, with plenty of ambition. She could probably be successful at whatever she turned her hand to, whether it be cooking and modelling, or painting and playing Cheeky bingo. However, all her achievements are certainly the products of much hard work and commitment. With her head held high, moving toward her goals, Devika’s future certainly looks bright.

from the photographer...
What a great day for a shoot. Devika gave me plenty to shoot on location at Betty's Hope. The sunset session presented an incredible colour palette. I look forward to connecting with Devika again to capture her looks, style and personality. What a fun team to work with and a terrific shoot to have.
